By a stroke of luck I found this bungalow in Negombo. A friend of mine had already recommended Negombo as a great place to start my tour of Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful house with a very modern look. The modernity has to do with the fact that the owner, clearly interested in architecture, designed and built it together with his wife not so long ago. Two floors, which despite the open staircase are still very separate from each other and offer sufficient privacy. Downstairs is a bedroom, with shower, an entrance hall and a kitchen. Enough space to socialize with 4-6 people. Upstairs is a large room with a lovely bed and a separate bathroom with shower. There is also a TV with lazy chairs and there is enough space to relax at the end of a busy day. All facilities are available to stay there comfortably with 2 couples. Highly recommended. ( March 2025, during my eighth Sri Lanka trip. )
